Spring is thriving as ever - branches decorated with green, fields dotted with yellow canola flowers...Let's voice out our greetings together: hello, spring!

(I) Work Resumption 

One month ago, many of us were enveloped with worry and fear. However, fighting against epidemic outbreak was our mission, so was work resumption. SCM decided to resume work in all folds from Feb.10 after sufficient communication with all partners. Despite doubts and concerns amidst the work resumption period, we have crossed it over at our own pace - neither pushed nor slagged behind - and been rewarded with encouraging news all along: 

Clients of SCM Specialty Chemicals are of high quality. SCM,  with their support manages to maintain a healthy cashflow during work resumption after the Spring Festival; 

SCM achieves a sales recovery higher than expection: over 1,300 orders have been delivered across our national network and it is estimated that the business results of the first quarter of this year would remain almost the same as that of last year; 

Every SCM business unit goes all out to solve supply-based problems. Nantong plant first resumed work, followed by onsite technical support and contingency services of industry division, strictly dedicated to our client protection responsibility and positive commitments; 

SCM e-commerce business platform "www.hpmall.com" has managed to achieve essential results, launching a batch of products and clients online successfully, ensuring its stage target of online and offline supplementary and collaborative strategy of SCM businesses; 

SCM's positive progress in its business expansion in Japan, the United States and Chinese Taiwan further wins the support of domestic and foreign partners; 

SCM conducts a satisfying team building work. Many measures, such as flexible working time, scientific protection, epidemic prevention supplies, etc. have been well received by the staff; dozens of product and technology video training sessions have been delivered for the entire staff, and recruitment for multiple posts has been promoted in multiple scenarios... 

(II) Thank you for your trust 

Februrary witnessed the epidemic outbreak as well as mutual efforts against it. 

In the first week of February alone, Hygasmining team, a subsidiary of SCM, worked day and night against all difficulties and finally completed 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas odor injection in 8 provinces and cities, so as to ensure the safety of gas use for thousands of households. Although our contribution was merely a dim light against a pitch dark background, this reflects our demonstration of corporate social responsibility as a responsible and competent company as SCM. 

Towngas, on the other side of the Pearl river, was faced with disruption of gas odorant supply due to carrier delay during epidemic outbreak. SCM managed to best utilize its SCM mangement and platform service and integration capacity, offered them timely help, relieved them of instant trouble, provided tacit support for Hongkong citizens, won client trust through application of self-innovated environmental circulation tank and management technology, and laid a sound basis for closer collaboration with Towngas in future. 

In spite that the virus is ruthless and shows no sympathy for anyone, after noticing frontline medical staff's pressure sores due to mask and protective equipment wearing for long hours on daily basis, SDM donated close to 1 ton of DuPont medical silicone gel MG7-9850 raw material for silicone gel pressure sore dressing production, and Zhejiang Topmedical Dressing Co., Ltd., one of SCM's clients, is entrusted for production. This joint donation effort was not only based on SCM and Topmedical's mutual wish that medical staff shall not be infected with pressure sores, but also a result of shared concepts and mutual trust.

The past month was filled with pain and anxiety, but the trust and support from suppliers, clients, and partners all along make us feel brilliant hope in our hearts! 

(III) Best utilize the springtime 

"Those who used to be good at battling always create their own invincible conditions first and then wait for opportunities to defeat the enemies. To keep ourselves invincible, the initiative lies in our own hands; whether the enemies can be defeated depends on whether they offer us an opportunity." Work resumption and growth against the trend all depends on our own innate capacity. The world is changing all the time and SCM is committed to best utilize the springtime ahead of us. What we strive for after is far beyond a month's delay in work.

Centering the seven directions of "new infrastructure", SCM has conducted in-depth pre-research work in 5G infrastructure, ultra-high voltage, intercity high-speed railway, urban rail transit, new energy vehicle charging pillars and other fields, and looking forward to reaping the achievements in 5G of market development centres, chip semiconductor, adhesive, refining project supporting, new energy vehicle and new projects. 

The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring. SCM greets the world with high hopes. It is said that "a person facing the sun is always blessed with springtime". SCM wishes to forge ahead with partners across industriess in joint efforts and share a wonderful springtime lying in front of us.
