As soldiers fighting at the frontline during epidemic outbreak, they experienced all kinds of difficulties, twists and turns. They just wanted every household to enjoy safe gas and a meal with cooked rice and dishes. Therefore, you might have been complaining that staying at home is driving you nuts, but we shouldn't forget this group of people that have been dedicated to serving every household. They treated themselves with dry bread and cold mineral water, while gas has been transmitting safely to every household along the way. Don't you think it is worthwhile to spend some time pondering on a wonderful meal every day, brimming with a taste of happinees?

1、Nothing but honour: guarantee 1.1 billion cubic metres of natual gas for 8 provinces and cities 

SCM Hygasmining Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hygasmining") serves as the only company providing on-site filling service for natural gas stations in China. Adding THT to urban gas companies to ensure gas supply and urban heating is a livelihood project, and there is a dedicated green channel on the highway for this service, so it is taken for granted that as long as sufficient preparations are made, there is no need to worry too much, and it would be as efficient and environmentally friendly as usual, a piece of cake in itself! However, "Being a group of retrograders to delivery such services during such special period make us feel really honoured!" Said Hygasmining's filling engineer before departure. 

After careful arrangements, on February 4, two vehicle teams and two shift teams set out from Guangzhou at the same time, rushing to Shandong, Jiangsu and Shaanxi respectively. The filling schedule of 8 cities and dozens of natural gas stations in Weifang, Qingdao, Yantai, Rizhao, Taizhou, Nanjing, Changzhou and Xi'an, has been planned for 8 days with total amount of THT odorant at 23 tons. According to the national standard of adding 20 mg of odorant per cubic meter of natural gas, about 1.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas shall be safely supplied. 

2、Impassable cold night: there is no all-around strategy set out for everything, but forge ahead whatsoever 

Emergency alarmed. Under the circumstances of strict control of people and vehicles gathering and local traffic control, we saw encounter blocked traffic as a normal condition. Zhang Xiaoguang, a filling engineer who went straight to Shandong Province, said that he had prepared himself psychologically in advance and had to be patient in addressing relevant parties basic know-how along the way: natural gas is colorless and tasteless, and careless use may cause gas poisoning; their mission is to fill natural gas stations with odor agents according to national safety and environmental protection technical standards, so as to ensure safety of gas use... 

However, pro-active knowledge-sharing, profession promotion and communication wasn't enough to eliminate obstacles. With growing severity of epidemic prevention and control measures, emergencies were alarmed here and there. Under the pressure of responsibilities, safety, people's livelihood, science, uncertainty and other important matters, solution of uncomplicated problems could lead to stubborn disputes. 

On the first day of departure, there were already many difficulties on the way to Weifang. Despite continuous knowledge-sharing, the filling vehicle was ordered off the road heading for service zone, where they were not welcomed either...2 a.m. midnight, crouching in the corner of the toll office, under the scrutiny of traffic police, they handed in all thier certificates and licenses, dragged the night through in the vehicle all by themselves. They spent one night waiting, not only for a bright day tomorrow, but a solution that could clear all the way ahead. The truth was that nobody should be blamed for the delay. Everyone knew about the emergency, however, police force knew no better way out either. That night witnessed the police officers and them caring for one another, jointly enduring the cold wind inherited from the last winter, seeing no sign of "beginning of spring" whatsoever. Till 6 o'clock in the morning, they checked and moved, moved and checked. The journey was bumpy rather than smooth, but they had nothing to complain so long as they were moving, however slowly it might be. 

3、Please allow us to get the work done, and then we will come back for quarantine 

The other team heading for Xi'an was relatively lucky. They successfully completed the filling task of the first gas station in Xi'an on the morning of February 5, but were taken to the hotel for quarantine on the way to the second station. Due to ever-growing severity of the epidemic outbreak, local preventive and control measures were tightening on daily basis. Although they were dressed in masks and protective equipment, took their own temperature three times a day, and carried out comprehensive and regular disinfection measures as required, local preventive and control measures aiming at every individual still couldn't be avoided anyway. 

　In view of such situation, Hygasmining,on the one hand, contacted Xi'an Qinhua Natural Gas for problem-solving assistance, so that relevant staff and vehicle could be temporarily released, or suggested "Please allow us to get the work done, and then we will come back for quarantine!" On the other hand, Du's mission shift team managed to futther communicate with local police and anti-epidemic grassroots cadres on the basis of knowledge-sharing and promises. At last, Du was allowed with mutual agreement to finish the filling task at the next gas station on the third day and then came back for quarantine. Du wechated his manager, "I am not easily defeated!" 

In order to reassure the company of his safety, he sent back photos of the scene in his protective equipment. His manager asked whether he had any bread with him, and whether he could buy some to take along. As well as the condition of the hotel and the air-conditioning inside? Du replied that he had bought bread and sausages for emergency and quilts were available for the night! And then he sent back a photo showing him sleeping with a mask. 

4、Extra-smooth passage: excited in tears

Zhang Xiaoguang, a filling engineer, said, after eating up all the prepared food upon departure, they didn't manage to get hold of quilts or bread until they finished filling task in Weifang and upon arrival in Qingdao. They had to eat and sleep in the vehicle, but fortunately, every difficulty was dragged through anyway. He kept on driving foward with Liu facilitating all kinds of access licensing to each location.

They had been accustomed to repeated checkings, bumps, twists and turns along the way, however, to their surprise, upon arrival in Yantai, when they handed over their temperature records three times a day, were checked on their protective measures and completed filling in relevant information, they were released with a wave of a hand! The extraordinary smoothness were completely out of the blue, "Liu was really excited with tears pouring out. I didn't know what to say on that occation, but shedded tears as well..." 

Zhang Xiaoguang said, the epidemic outbreak was a surprise to everyone, and we could but strive to undertake it the best we could. Whatever might lie ahead, we would manage to get over. After finishing filling tasks in the 7 gas stations as planned, he said he was filled with happiness and pride! On driving to Taizhou, he couldn't help screaming out his excitement of gains! But they just didn't know  the date! Every day witnessed them in the vehicle, trying to catching up the schedule all day and all night. Nothing seemed to matter anyway! 

5、A dim light firm on the ground: such careers worth striving for 

Feb.9, Du's team finished their filling task in Xi'an and came back to the hotel for quarantine. But his mind was still rolling on the profound findings he identified along the way: 1) During the emergency, Hygasmining's self-owned dangerous cargo transport vehicle was blessed with huge advantage; thus, it would be better to ask for more in the fleet; 2) vehicle disinfection and environmental control measures needed to be further refined and normalized; 3) process transformation and technological development of designated tools. 

On Feb.12 evening, Zhang Xiaoguang's team finished all filling tasks as planned. On Feb.13 afternoon, they drove into Shanghai smoothly. They immediately set out again for Nanjing with 3 tons of THT storage tank as no time was left for them to take a rest! 

Production and service lines are at the frontline against the epidemic as well. When every link is enhanced, our society will be able to run more smoothly, with civilian's lives in good order. Every employee lingering on his/her post despite loads of difficulties is worth praising. Although we didn't really hit the road all day and all night, although we didn't say goodbye to our beloved ones heading for death, although we are but dim lights shimmering on the economic chain, we are responsible, we are brave, we put scientific implementation into full play. Such a career is worth striving for!
