PTFE has unique properties due to the special nature of fluorine atoms wrapping the carbon-carbon main chain. The fluorine atoms are of proper sizes to form a uniform and continuous sheath just around the carbon-carbon main chain and protect it from external erosion, thus providing good chemical corrosion resistance and stability for molecules.
The technological development of mixing organic and inorganic fillers has given birth to various PTFE mixtures. This helps Fluorseals to gain wider recognition in specific industries. Adding appropriate amount of organic/inorganic filler to PTFE can improve technical properties such as load deformation, wear strength, thermal expansion and electrical conductivity.
