Introduction: Dupont Flexible Skin Adhesive, SSA, is a two-component platinum catalyzed unfilled silicone elastomer. The adhesive has unique physical properties and is suitable for bonding and self-adhesive materials in biomedical applications. The elastomer adhesive is composed of platinum catalyzed polydimethylsiloxane, and the curing temperature is about 140℃ (284℉) atroom temperature and no byproduct is generated

SSA's special natural properties allow it to be gently adhered to the skin. In wound treatment, the product will not adhere to the wound, but only to the skin around the wound. And it can adjust the softness, has low peeling strength and is easy to remove.

SSA still retains its adhesive properties after peeling, so it can be pasted many times. SSA is washable and remains sticky after drying.

SSA has excellent air permeability, enables skin to breathe, can be comfortably and gently attached to skin, and is used for scar treatment, making scars smoother and more beautiful. Due to its hydrophobic nature to wet wounds, the product can ensure the continuous recovery of wound tissue. It can be used together with wound treatment technologies such as hydrocolloids, hydrogels and PU foams to optimize the effect of wound care.

SSA silicone gel, as the adhesive layer of polyurethane foam, has a soft and easy-to-apply network structure, which can keep the dressing in place when using, removing secondary dressing or pressure treatment. The adhesive layer covers less than 50% of the foam surface to achieve the purpose of not affecting the foam to absorb exudates.
