Screening agent-Nose Guard
Screening agent-Nose Guard
Nose Guard® Masking Agent
The screening agent “Nose Guard” is produced by Chevron Phillips Chemical in the US, which can effectively cover up the unpleasant smell caused by a small amount of tetrahydrothiophene. It is mainly used to reduce a small amount of odors remaining on the valve body, container, barrel, and the ground or the surface of the workbench contaminated by natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas. The screening agent “Nose Guard” cannot remove odors, but it can cover them up with a pleasant slight citrus scent.

It’s generally loaded in the aerosol can, and you can spray it to the odorants if necessary. If you are not familiar with its use, please ask the staff to show you how to use it.
The screening agent “Nose Guard” should not be used in the following situations:
The odor generated by the leaking gas from the system cannot be covered. If the odor still remains, all leak points must be repaired and the related surrounding areas shall be cleaned. Please contact our sales representative for an emergency plan about the overflowing odorants, including effective cleaning methods for the surface contamination.
The odor generated in the process of cleaning the gasification equipment cannot be covered. On the contrary, many efforts should be made to reduce the escape of odors into the atmosphere to prevent leakage. Please check the information about gas’s MSDS for personal protective equipment.
Don’t cover up unknown or dangerous odors. Every effort should be made to identify the source of the odor or remove it if necessary. Some other odor sources, such as sewer gas, can indicate hazardous conditions.
